Spring has finally sprung, and I am ready to say goodbye to my dull, faded Winter hair, and HELLO to a vibrant, fresh, new color that is easy enough for me to do right at home. Today I will be sharing how Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color gave me Spring worthy hair with less breakage.
It’s no secret that I love to dye my hair. It’s an easy way to express myself, or add something new to my style. Taking care of my hair is very important to me. I have caused some major damage from my love of coloring my hair. Breakage has been the main problem, and has caused me to dye my hair way less than I use to. Thanks to the Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color with K-BOND PLEX™ technology, I no longer have to worry about breakage.
K-BOND PLEX™ is a salon inspired anti-breakage technology, which repairs the inner hair structure, as well as coats the hair surface after the coloring process, resulting in stronger and healthier looking hair. It helps with up to 80% less breakage!
I wanted to go for a very rich black hair color for Spring. I just love the way it looks under direct sunlight, along with a more sun kissed complexion. I headed to my local Wal-Mart to look for the perfect shade. There was such a large variety of gorgeous, vibrant hair colors that it was so hard to choose just one. Ultimately, I fell in love with the shade Midnight Black.
Once I am ready to start dying my hair, I lay an old towel on the floor where I will be standing to prevent any staining, as well as change into a shirt that I don’t mind soiling.
Next, I part my hair into four even sections, and start to lay out the contents of the dye box on my counter top.
The first step to the coloring process is to apply the pre-color serum which conditions the hair allowing for a more even color application. Previous box dyes that I have used never had a pre-color treatment, so this was definitely a plus.
Next, I squeeze the color cream into the developer lotion and shake well until all contents are thoroughly mixed together.
Apply gloves to avoid staining and irritation.
Continue by applying color starting at the root and spreading downwards.
Once all of your hair is saturated, let the color sit for the instructed time.
Lastly, rinse hair until the water runs clear and use the extra keratin care complex conditioner (smells amazing!)
Once I styled my hair as normal, I was so impressed with how shiny and healthy my hair looked. The conditioner also made it feel really soft.
My Spring look wouldn’t be complete without some floral print and pastel colored makeup.
I am so happy that Schwarzkopf® makes it so easy and affordable to achieve salon quality results right at home.
I am totally ready to rock this Spring with my fresh, vibrant hair color!
