Where are my face mask junkies? I’m glad I’m not the only one! I have tried hundreds of face masks and never get tired of them. Some are basic, some are fun, and some are just weird. As a matter of fact, you can check out some that I have tried here. There have been times that I feel so relaxed while wearing a face mask that I could just fall asleep, but instead I have to drag myself to the bathroom and rinse it off of my skin. What if I told you that there are face masks out that you can now apply and sleep in. You just have to rinse your face in the morning! I had never heard of an overnight mask, but I sure am glad that I quickly got to trying them.

What is an overnight face mask?
A face mask that you apply like a lotion/cream that is loaded with hydrating ingredients. You rub these in until absorbed by your skin, and go to bed. You wake up with beautiful hydrated, glowing skin, and just rinse off with water.
Below I am going to be sharing my current favorite overnight face masks, and one that I plan on trying next.
Nyakio Chamomile Soothing Sleep Mask: This sleep mask is 100% Vegan, and cruelty-free. I love the light texture of the cream and how quickly it absorbs into the skin. The scent is so calming that you can’t help falling asleep. It’s like aromatherapy for me. This mask is an overnight facial that provides long lasting moisture.
SkinFix Calm & Repair Sleeping Mask: One word, OBSESSED! Everything from the mint green color, to the delightful, relaxing scent of green tea, leaves me with the ultimate spa feeling. I am super bummed though because my husband put this in my carry-on bag for vacation and I had to throw it away at the check point because it was over the limit of what they allow for creams/liquids on the flight. Let’s just say my husband owes me :). My skin felt so soft after waking up with this mask. It’s gel like texture didn’t create extra oily skin, and the cucumber helped any irritation I had going on.
Lanegie Lip Sleeping Mask: My lips feel destroyed this Winter. I have been trying everything on the market to try and heal my lips. I haven’t found a life saver, but this mask has really helped. It smells like a strawberry candy and has a really smooth comfortable consistency. I really lather on a thick layer of this at night, and wake up with non-flaky lips. I feel like you need to really pile this on to get the best results, not just apply as a lip balm.
Patchology Restoring Night Cloudmasque: Once you see the cute packaging, you aren’t going to be able to stop yourself from diving in. This mask is packed with Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol, and 17 skin conditioning plant extracts to have you waking up with skin you can only imagine in your dreams.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: This gel mask quickly absorbs into the skin and gets to work. The scent of ingredients like orange flower, rose, and sandalwood are meant to calm you, and apricot & primrose work to brighten tired skin.
Even though some of these are pricey, I find them to be really great for my skin. I recommend asking for, or purchasing travel sizes/samples before splurging on full sizes.
Just a little FYI, I know you will see the Estee Edit Sleeping Mask pictured, but I chose not to include it because it is no longer available for purchase,
The next sleeping mask I really want to try is the Watermelon Sleeping Mask from the brand Glow Recipe. I am purchasing the mini version before splurging $45 for the full size. Have you tried this one? Let me know how you like it if you have it.
