When getting ready for the Holidays, I like to touch up my hair color. As you know, a few months back I switched up my look for the Fall season using Schwarzkopf®. You can check out that post here. This time around, I picked up the Schwarzkopf® Keratin Hair Color in the shade Midnight Black from my local Wal-mart. I was really pleased with the range of beautiful, vibrant hair colors they had to choose from.
This hair dye causes less hair breakage, which is something that is very important to me, and comes with a pre-hair treatment to ensure that the color is applied evenly through the hair. As I’m approaching turning twenty-nine, I do have a few gray hairs which are very obvious, but this color covered them completely.
Below I am listing the steps to apply the hair color, followed by a super easy hair tutorial.
First, you want to do a patch test on your skin to make sure you do not get an allergic reaction.
Next, apply pre-treatment to the dry ends of your hair. Puncture the color cream and pour it into the developer lotion.
Then you want to apply the protective gloves, shake the bottle well to make sure the contents are mixed completely.
Before applying, I part my hair either straight down the center or off to the side and start at the root and work my way down.
I then put my hair up in a bun for the estimated time, and rinse until the water runs clear. Lastly, I apply the intensive care elixir conditioner and rinse again.
I love how shiny and soft my hair feels and looks after. It delivers salon quality results right at home, and for way less money.
Now let’s jump into the hairstyle tutorial!
First, I take small sections of my hair and run a flat iron through until the hair is as straight as I’d like.
Then, I make a side part in my hair and keep a small section of that in my hand.
Taking that small section, start twisting all the way down to the ends.
Secure in the back of your head with a bobby pin.
Repeat the same process on opposite side to create a full headband, and secure it to the first twist.
After adding a festive red lip color, I’m all set.
