Makeup brands have been coming out with amazing new mascaras lately and I have been loving quite a few of them. You will be seeing a few more mascara posts here on my blog soon, but today’s review is on another drugstore mascara that deserves the spotlight. It’s the Maybelline Lash Sensational Curvitude.
Many of you know that I swear by the original Lash Sensational mascara, and I’ve repurchased it a countless amount of times, so when I saw this addition to the line I knew I needed to try it.
I picked mine up from Target. Each tube contains 0.33 oz of product, and I have seen these retail anywhere from $7-$9 USD depending on where you purchase it.
The formula is on the thicker side, but thankfully it doesn’t accumulate around the rim and make a mess like a lot of other mascaras do.
The brush shape is curved with a slight “u” shape, and also stretches to grab and coat every lash. I was surprised at how flexible the applicator is. This mascara is suppose to leave lashes with a full fan effect.
When I applied this mascara I was pleasantly surprised. The arch of the brush made it really easy to get close to my lash line, and really coat them from top to bottom without getting all over my under eye area or eyelid. Holding the brush the opposite way allowed me to fit the wand perfectly on my lashes almost like a curler and just brush them upwards perfectly. It took a few coats to get my lashes really dark and bold, but once i built it up I was really pleased with how long and separated they were.
I didn’t experience any flaking throughout the day, or smudging.
Although I really enjoyed this mascara, I must admit that I love the original Lash Sensational better. It takes less time to coat my lashes, and leaves them more bold and fuller.
Have you tried this mascara yet? Let me know in a comment.
