Last week the most amazing package landed on my doorstep from Urban Decay Cosmetics. It was their new Born To Run collection! After I got myself under control, I ran inside to start swatching and photographing all of these gorgeous products. Keep reading for swatches, a makeup look, and my final thoughts on the Urban Decay Born To Run collection.
What Products Are In The Collection?
- 21 color eyeshadow palette
- 3 New Vice lipstick shades
- 3 24/7 Glide-On eye pencils
- Travel size All Nighter setting spray
Let’s talk packaging. Packaging can really make or break a product. I am a huge sucker for pretty and cute product packaging. Urban Decay products always have amazing packaging, and this palette is no different. Covered in tempting photos of different destinations, this eyeshadow palette will make you want to pack your bags and GO! The Vice lipstick’s also have the same packaging.
The Born To Run palette has the perfect balance of neutral eyeshadow shades, and pops of color. It also has a huge mirror and magnetic close. I was very impressed with the pigmentation of each shade and how easy they were to build up color and blend out. The peachy shades in this palette have been my favorite to create Summer looks so far.
The three new Vice lipstick’s are gorgeous! Two of the shades I would wear more during the colder months because they are darker than what I typically gravitate towards during the warmer months.
- 66– Rich Mauve-Nude (matte finish)
- Ready?– Bright Rose Sparkle (metallic finish)
- Marfa– Dark Berry w/ Pink Micro Shimmer (metallic finish)
They are super creamy and easy to apply. They last quite a while without touch-ups, and didn’t feel drying at all.
The 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil formula has to be one of my favorites ever. I barely have to press the pencil onto my waterline and I get intense pigmentation, and they are very long lasting even on my eye area which tends to get a bit oily causing most of my eye makeup to smudge after a few hours. Two of the shades are new, and one is an existing shade.
- Lucky– Dark Metallic Copper
- Overdrive– Deep Green Metallic
- Double Life– Reddish Brown Metallic
Lastly, no makeup look would be complete without locking it all into place with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. The travel size is perfect to take anywhere to make sure your makeup doesn’t budge.
You can find this collection at Sephora, Ulta, and select Macy’s stores, as well as urban decay.com.
