Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips & Charcoal Bar Review

Hi loves!

Welcome back to my blog.

If you follow me on Instagram (if you don’t then you should be lol @melly_cakez), then you saw that a few days ago I posted that I picked up these two skincare products and was testing them out for you.

I have been seeing so many new products on the market containing charcoal, but Biore is one of my favorite drugstore skincare brands so I couldn’t help but pick these up.

Active charcoal is known for it’s ability to pull impurities out from the skin.  It also aids in oil absorption.

Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips:  I picked these up from Ulta and they retail for $6.99 there.  You can probably get them a bit cheaper from Walmart or Target though.  You receive 6 pore strips per box.

These contain natural charcoal powder and pull out buildup, blackheads, and blemish causing impurities.  It states to lessen oil by 3x as well.  I have very oily skin which I’ve mentioned before, and did see a difference in the size of my pores, as well as less oil throughout the day (YAY!)

I use these once a week maybe twice depending on what my skin looks and feels like at the time.  To apply you open the strip packet and take out the pore strip.  Make sure your nose is saturated with water otherwise the strip will not stick.  Next, gently remove pore strip from the plastic it is adhered to, and place on your nose.  You also want to wiggle the dry strip from side to side so it removes it’s stiffness and is easy to form and fit the shape of your nose.  Put the sticky side of the strip on your skin, and let it sit on for about 10 minutes or until you feel that it has hardened.  It almost reminds me of a cast.  Lastly, gently peel strip from nose and check out all the gross built up junk that has been sitting in your pores.  This part seriously amazes me every time I look at it.

Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar:  I picked this up from Ulta as well, and it was also $6.99.  You get 3.77 oz of product with this bar.

When I first opened the box and removed the bar from the plastic, I automatically loved the smell.  It smelled just like a candy cane.  I honestly wasn’t expecting such a pleasant fragrance from this bar.

This bar was made to cleanse and exfoliate to draw out and remove dirt and oil from the skin.  It contains natural peppermint, natural charcoal, and jojoba.

To use this product you want to remove all makeup however you choose to, and then wet your face.  I actually wet my face then rub the bar directly on my skin and lather it up that way I get the benefit of the exfoliating beads that are within the soap bar.  These feel amazing and leave your skin nice and smooth.  They are not too harsh, and do not irritate the skin.  After you pat your face dry, you are left with tingly fresh, soft skin.

Overall I love these two products.  I have already shared them with my husband, and told my family and friends that they seriously need to go out and purchase these.  So now I’m telling you dolls that if your looking for some serious gunk removal for your pores, than these are your new best friends.
