New Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara Review + Before and After

Hi Loves!

Today I’m here with a seriously “Chaotic” review.  It’s the new Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara.

As I go through social media accounts, I see a lot of mixed reviews about this product.  We are all use to mascara’s that give us extra length, volume, and growth but nothing that makes them look clumpy, and crazy purposely.  Chaotic is becoming a new trend.

As I was taking my usual trip to my local Walgreens, I saw the display full of these in water-proof, and regular options.  The ad totally threw me off though.  I had to stand there for a good 5 minutes and try to figure out how the clumpy, mixed up, crazy looking eyelashes the model was rocking was appealing to consumers.  I had walked away disappointed because I had really wanted to review this for everyone.  After a while I gave in and bought it even though it looked a little crazy.  I was really intrigued to see exactly how this worked, and after all, I really wanted to share it with you all in case you are just as confused lol.

They retail anywhere from $5.99-$7.99 depending where you are shopping.  You receive .32 FL. OZ. of product.

I purchased mine in water-proof just because it has been very rainy, and hot in New York so I really do not want to deal with runny mascara throughout the day.

I like the packaging, and the wand has a squiggly like design to it with bristles going in different directions in order to give you that chaotic look.

In order to achieve that chaotic look you really have to give your lashes a few coats of this mascara and use a back and forth motion in order for your lashes to go in opposite directions.

Overall I think this is a very fun mascara.  Definitely not an everyday pick for me, but it is great for creative looks, or any time your feeling a little crazy 🙂

Here is a before and after of the mascara.

Thanks for reading!

❤ Melissa

This is such an interesting concept! I have heard a lot of people talk about how they like that clumpy look, but I don’t think I’ve really seen any brands embracing that so whole heartedly. The packaging looks really fun though!
